Parakramabahu's nephew, Vijayabahu II, succeeded his uncle, but was murdered
some time after by his so-called friend, Mahinda.
Mahinda, in turn, was slain by a Sinhalese prince named Sri Keerthi Nissanka Malla.
He was followed by two queens, who ruled over the country until the arrival of the
Prince Magha from India.
After Magha, Sri Lanka was ruled by several kings before being invaded by the Portuguese. They are:
